SMODE.EXE - Setting the Video Mode for DOS Applications SMODE manually sets the display mode and emulation on the DOS plane. You can either enter parameters on the command line, or wait to be prompted. The syntax, entered from DOS is SMODE ## vga where ## is any valid BIOS mode number in hex mode and vga is the desired emulation (See table Standard VGA modes in the file BIOS.TXT of the Superdisk or in your SPEA directory). Other possible emulations are EGA, CGA, and MDA. Available Video Modes The graphics cards of the SPEA V7 series support all Standard VGA, VESA, Extended and Enhanced VGA modes. See all supported modes on the tables in the file BIOS.TXT in your SPEA\GDC directory.
