WIN-OS/2 Full Screen Refresh rates


To set a refresh rate of 72 Hz for 640 x 480, 800 x 600 and 70 Hz for 1024 x 768 for Win-OS/2 full screen do the following:

1. Copy VMODE.COM from the W32/W32i/W32p driver disk to your utilities directory.

2. Add the following commands to the AUTOEXEC.BAT file:

C:\UTIL\VMODE 72 Hz
C:\UTIL\VMODE 48K
C:\UTIL\VMODE 72M

3. where C:\UTIL is the name for your utilities directory containing VMODE.COM.

4. Shut down and reboot your system.

Win-OS/2 full screen will now be capable of 72 Hz refresh at 640 x 480 and 800 x 600 and 70 Hz for 1024 x 768. Be sure your monitor can handle the higher refresh rates.
