Shadow Palette

Example of the Shadow palette

The Shadow palette applies to rectangle, closed line, ellipse, image and text objects. For text objects the shadow settings are applied to the text. The items of the Shadow palette have the following meaning:

Offset:

Defines a shadow length in current units.

Angle:

An angle can be set either by dragging the arrow around the object center or by specifying the angle in degrees.

None:

An object is transparent.

Solid:

A fill with a single foreground color should be applied.

Blend:

A fill with gradient, which spans from Foreground to Background color. The blend filling can be: Linear, Circle, or Diamond. You can also define the angle of blending. For further information refer to the section titled Setting Blend Options.

Pattern:

A fill with a specified pattern, which combines Foreground and Background color. Pattern filling can be Vertical, Horizontal etc.

Image:

A fill with a specified image. An image is selected using the standard Load Image dialog by clicking Browse. For more information see the section titled Setting Images.

The palette also contains a control for selecting the Background and Foreground colors.
