The system allows you to share a version of any face for using it with other label of your project.
To share a version:
1. Open a project you wish to work with. In the Workspace Navigator select a face version you are going to share.
2. Do one of the following:
-- Select the Project-->Share command from the main menu,
-- Right-click selected item and choose Share from the WN shortcut menu.
The Editor displays the Share Version dialog.
Note: When a version is shared with the destination parent label, the new copy of this version, which is created below this label, establishes a link between the new and original items. In the WN, special icons delineate both versions. Any changes in the original version will automatically apply to the linked version and vice versa. You can later choose to break this link in the Version Properties Dialog.
3. Select the parent label for the shared version and click OK. The current version will be copied as a shared item to the new location.
Example of sharing a version:
Suppose we want to share the CD1_version1 version, which is used in the CD Core Label, with the alternative CD label (see the left picture). It is necessary to select the CD1_version1 version and select Share from the Format or shortcut menu. The Share Version dialog like the one shown here is displayed. Select alternative CD as the destination label and click OK. The result is shown on the picture at the right. Pay attention to the fact that the shared versions are marked with a special icon.
