Installation pre-requisites

Solution-Pac / WAN can only be used and installed by a NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR.

To operate, the Solution-Pac / WAN components require certain programs which ONLY A NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR can install:

• TCP/IP must be installed and activated on the computer BEFORE installing the Solution-Pac / WAN components (TCP/IP REQUIRES A NETWORK BOARD).
• The NATIVE SNMP agent must be activated on the computer BEFORE installing the UM-Agent component. (TCP/IP and the native SNMP agent are supplied as standard on most operating systems.)

Before starting the operation we assume that:

• you have chosen the software modules to be installed on your computer
• you have connected your UPS.
