What is Space Explorer? Space Explorer is a great file management system. It combines features usually found in several different file utilities into one easy-to-use, multithreaded, multiple-document environment providing information in lists (like Windows Explorer) and in charts. As well having several Explorer-like windows open, you can move, copy, and rename files; create folders and shortcuts; display folder tree sizes; find duplicate files; search for large files; monitor drives; and compare folders. Space Explorer supports drag/drop; and FAT, FAT32, and NTFS (you can see who owns a file, its compressed size, and when it was last accessed). Space Explorer is a great tool for standalone and networked PCs. Using Space Explorer is very easy. If you require more information while you're using it, press F1. This will provide context-sensitive help. For more information, please see the Reviewer's Guide in the Help file. ________________________________________ 2. How to install Space Explorer To install Space Explorer, simply run SETUP.EXE and follow the instructions. No files are installed in your Windows folder. Once you have installed Space Explorer, you have the option of later uninstalling it. ________________________________________ 3. Ordering information Space Explorer is not free. To find out how to order it, choose the Ordering Information command from the Help menu in Space Explorer. The most convenient way of ordering Space Explorer is to use the secure registration facility from the Help menu. ________________________________________ 4. Troubleshooting If Space Explorer fails to install, check that your computer satisfies the system requirements listed in section 5. ________________________________________ 5. What is a "beta" version? A "beta" version of a program is a version that has not been fully tested and, therefore, may contain errors (bugs). It may also not have all the features that will be available when the final version is shipped. This release of Space Explorer is a beta version. It has been released for experienced users who are aware of the potential problems and risks associated with using beta software. You are strongly advised to save any open documents before using Space Explorer. It is also a good idea not to use beta software with important data. ________________________________________ End of ReadMe.txt
