Cuba is full of signs and billboards, reminding the people of the Cuban Revolution – which they regard as an ongoing process towards building a better future.
Che Guevara is a popular icon for the revolution, and in Cuba he can only be described as "bigger than Elvis!" Che Guevara was once of the revolutionaries who fought the revolution alongside Fidel Castro (the President of Cuba since 1959). Ernesto "Che" Guevara was originally from Argentina, and worked in various places in South America before he met up with Fidel Castro in Mexico, and became part of Cuba's revolutionary movement. A rare mix of heroic fighter, intellectual, and charismatic leader, Che Guevara became a revolutionary symbol for admirers all over the world. In 1965 he left Cuba to help fight a revolution in Bolivia, but was captured and killed by Bolivian soldiers in 1967. There is a story the Bolivians cut off Che Guevara's hand and sent it in a package to Fidel Castro.
