We've all either been to Bahia or wish we had...There's even a song that asks "vocΩ jß foi α Bahia?" (have you ever been to Bahia?). That's followed by "Nπo? Entπo vß!" (No? Then go!). I just go back from Salvador. Had a fabulous time...Pelourinho looks great...Check out our Salvador Photo Gallery! Anyway, I have these Ari Barroso CDs and there are all these songs Ari wrote about Bahia and the baianas and the food and...(the one above is Quando eu penso na Bahia). Well, I asked myself - gee, which one do I like best? Faixa de cetim, Os quindins de Iaiß...and that's not counting the Caymmi songs...I'm still trying to decide. Meanwhile, you can let me know which one is YOUR favorite...You can read your responses, too!

Yes, all the songs are about Bahia, including No tabuleiro da baiana, Na Baixa do Sapateiro, Saudade de Itapoπ, Os quindins de Iaiß, VocΩ jß foi α Bahia (the one we just talked about) and the original recording of Bahia com H. Over 60 minutes and 21 songs.
