LIVING IN JAPAN Advertising Toilet

In Tokyo and other Japanese cities you can see certain people standing at busy places and distributing free packages of tissues. In Tokyo, for example, you can find especially many distributors around Shibuya or Shinjuku station. The purpose of distributing this huge number of tissues is advertisement. On each package an advertisement is printed, typically for an erotic store, a party telephone number, or the like. The tissues are very useful to the pedestrians since they can be used on public toilets that do not supply toilet paper.
