MUSHROOM AND FOREST RESEARCH

The trail shows a number of edible mushrooms and how they are used. Also poisonous mushrooms, shelf fungus and mushrooms in the forest countryside. The various species are pictured to scale. Mushrooms are displayed in their true growing areas even though you may not see them on your day out.

The trail has duckboards over wet places. The route goes to the Kaihuvaara grove reserve. We hope the nature remains undamaged.
