I've made collages of periods producing crossbred silhouettes, retrospectives but never carbon copies. These clothes have two things that make them both a part of the past and today: the complications I've eliminated and the fabrics I've used.
I've mixed silk taffetas with microfiber nylons. I've added
pockets everywhere and I've replaced hooks with snaps and zippers; the zipper is like the garment's vertebra.
Indispensable and as important as a dart or a martingale.
