Dolina Pieciu Stawow Polskich

The Dolina Pieciu Stawow Polskich (the Valley of the Five Polish Ponds) occupies the upper level of the Dolina Roztoki valley. It is bounded on the north by a high ridge stretching from Mt. Swinica to Krzyzne saddle and Mt. Woloszyn, and on the south by the main ridge of the Tatras and a side ridge of the summit of Mt. Miedziane. The beauty of this valley is enhanced by a number of lakes, among which one, Wielki Staw, is the biggest and the deepest (79 m) in the Tatras. A stream coming out of Wielki Staw has the biggest waterfall in the Tatras - Siklawa.
