Accuracy - The birds of La Suerte are not well known and this checklist remains a work in progress, especially with respect to to neotropical migrants and intratropical migrants.
Status - Abundances, other than birds denoted as being seen daily in the proper habitat, are currently not included due to the relative lack of such information, especially on a seasonal basis.
Hot Spots - The road past the student cabins to the old airstrip is perhaps the best overall birding area. Other good areas include the &334;A&334; trail in the small forest, the central fence row leading to the Finca Martina road, the pasture adjacent to the large forest, the old airstrip and adjacent big forest border and the swamp located along the road to Finca Martina.
Nesting - Although many of the birds listed probably nest on the La Suerte property, only those for which nesting evidence has been obtained are denoted.
