St. Edmund Hall

St. Edmund Hall is the last survivor of the halls of residence which constituted the Medieval University. It is able to trace its ancestry certainly to 1317, and its origins were probably considerably earlier. It changed to formal "collegiate" status in 1957, while retaining its old name. Teddy Hall, as it is sometimes called, has welcomed Associate Students from WISC beginning in 1988. It is one of the largest of Oxford's colleges, with a total student body of 500.
