Pop-Up Menus: in the main window

By main window, we refer to the default window that appears when Panda Antivirus 6.0 Home Edition / Platinum is loaded. There, you will see several sections, for which different pop-up menus may appear.

Toolbar: this is a section that contains certain buttons (Scan, Configure,...etc). The actions you are allowed to perform through their pop-menus can also be accessed in the View û Toolbar menu. This menu will present the following options:

• Standard: if this is selected, the normal toolbar will be displayed.

• Additional: if you enable this option, a new toolbar will appear in the lower left-hand side of the window with the following buttons: Enable/Disable sounds, Scan compressed files, Scan e-mail files, If a virus is found, ignore and continue, Generate scan report and Heuristic scan.

• Labels: this option allows you to choose whether or not you wish to display the names of the standard toolbarÆs buttons.

Predetermined scans: this section displays the predetermined scans that correspond to the section you are in. You cannot choose to perform several scans at once. Some options only appear for certain types of scans, and not for all of them.

• Enable/Disable: permits you to enable/disable the selected scan. This option is not available in Immediate Scans.

• Scan or Scan now: permits you to perform the predetermined scan selected.

• Configure scan: permits you to modify the characteristics of the predetermined scan selected.

• Save created scan: permits you to save the information on the new scan.

• Delete created scan: permits you to delete a selected scan.

• Change name: permits you to rename a selected scan.

All folders: this section displays a tree of possible items to scan, allowing you to select one or more items. This only appears in Advanced mode (see Differences between versions). Some options only appear for certain types of scans, and not for all of them.

• Scan selected item: when this option is selected, the item(s) marked will be scanned.

• Configure default options: permits access to the configuration settings of the current scan.

• Add selected item: the treeÆs item(s) selected will be added to the list of items to scan.

Selected items: these are the items selected for scanning. You can choose to scan one or more at the same time. The following describes the options that are available:

• Scan selected item: when this option is selected, the item(s) that is/are marked will be scanned.

• Configure scan: permits access to the configuration settings of the current scan.

• Remove selected item: any selected item will be removed from the list.

• Remove all items: all items will be removed from the list.
