What is the startup scan?

The main purpose of the Startup Scan is to protect your computer from the moment it is switched on. Panda Antivirus 6.0 offers three types of Startup Scans: at computer startup, at Windows startup or at Lotus Notes startup.

The three types of Startup Scans contain different configuration options. Please consult the corresponding section to obtain more detailed information on the configuration options.

If you are working in the advanced mode, you can choose the areas that will be scanned when the system is started up. The advanced mode also allows you to schedule the system startup scan so that it is only performed at certain times.
