Short / Medium / Long

Auto Configure should be used with any change of CD-R or CD-RW hardware, and can be found in the Options/Settings/Recorder/Advanced menu.

In order to configure the drive, MUSICMATCH samples data from the audio CD that is in the CDROM drive. Short, Medium, and Long represent the length of the sampled data. Some drives can be configured using only a small sample of data.

• Generally, the medium setting, which is the default, will pick-up most drives. Occasionally, a drive will not be configured using a medium sample length. In these cases the user will need to manually set the Auto configuration length to Long and retry the configuration.
