BURGER KING« Trading Nights

Tuesday Nights at BURGER KING« will be THE Destination for Trading the Highly Popular Toys and Cards

WHAT: To help kids "collect ém all," participating BURGER KING« restaurants around the country will offer "trading nights" for four (4) consecutive Tuesdays, beginning November 23 allowing customers to trade theirBURGER KING«collectibles. While children are expected to be accompanied by an adult at the trading nights, no purchase is necessary. The promotion itself, as well as the trading nights, is nationally advertised.

WHO: Children and their parents are invited to visit their localBURGER KING«during these nights to trade any of their Pokémon merchandise with other kids. The company is prohibiting customers and collectors from exchanging money for toys. Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult to participate.

WHEN: The trading nights begin Tues., Nov. 23rd and run Tuesday nights through December. The trading nights, planned for traditional dinner hours at participating restaurants, are expected to be the largest, single organized trading effort ever. All restaurants have been urged to run the trading nights no later than 8:30 p.m., since it is a school night.

WHY: On November 8, 1999 the appealing PokémonÖ creatures have inhabited more than 8,000BURGER KING«restaurants nationwide. The eight week promotion boasts 57 toys in 56 days - one included in each kids meal. The toys, each of which are packed in a Poké Ball and include one of 151 trading cards, is the largest effort ever for the fast food giant. Additionally, customers have been able to purchase one of six collectible 23K gold-plated trading cards for $1.99 with the purchase of any value meal since November 15, while supplies last. The six characters are #25 PikachuÖ, #151 MewtwoÖ, #39 JigglypuffÖ, #61 PoliwhirlÖ, #06 CharizardÖ, and TogepiÖ.
