For those of you using this disc with Internet Explorer (located in the MSIE folder), you'll notice that the disc looks a little different this month: The hyperlinks are set off as different from the rest of the text, but they're no longer underlined; and text is easier to read and more interesting than Times New Roman!
Well, it's all courtesy of cascading style sheets (CSS), and I must admit that I'm very excited about all of it. For Web designers, style sheets are revolutionary, giving them the power to design in much the same way print designers can. Keep an eye on this disc over the months to come; we're planning a major redesign utilizing style sheets.
More and more of you have been taking advantage of our automated online disc section, conveniently located at the Imagine Publishing Web site (http://support.imagine-inc.com/). If you have any comments, questions, or--God forbid!--problems, go to the site and fill out the simple form. Please only direct email to me personally or cd-rom@thenet-usa.com if you have an editorial question or comment.
That said, I encourage you to email me with your thoughts about this disc. What do you like about it? Is there anything you hate? What would you like to see more of (e.g., games, utilities, browsers), and what could use some culling? Although I can't respond to each and every one of you, I do read every email that I receive, so don't be bashful--send me your thoughts!
And, hey, while you're here, take a minute to check out these photos of my dogs Phoebe and Jack. (And, like any and every dog-lover, I must say that my dogs are the best dogs in the whole world! ; )
