SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS - object protruding from body - bleeding - pain EMERGENCY TREATMENT 1. SEEK MEDICAL ASSISTANCE IMMEDIATELY. Call 911 or operator. Until Ambulance Arrives: 2. DO NOT remove child who is impaled on stationary object unless child's life is in immediate danger. If you must remove child, do so gently and then control bleeding. 3. Observe for shock.
