The High Elves of the Northern Tundra had defended 
their lands for almost 4000 years.  Every fifty years
or so, a Tribe of Orcs from the White Mountains in the
east, would band together and create some trouble.  
This was usually not a major concern.

In the year 3764 HET, however, two tribes began to move west.
One was Borog's Tribe, led by a huge fierce brute named Borog
the Orog.  The second tribe was led by a cunning Shaman, in possession
of a magical red gem.
