OverviewThis tool mentor is applicable when running Windows 95/98/NT 4.0. Tool StepsAn activity tracks versions that are created while working on a development task. An activity includes a text headline, which describes the task, an ID, which is the activity's unique identifier, and a change set, which identifies all versions that you create while working on the activity. When you're ready to modify source files, you must set your development view to an activity. To work with UCM activities: 1. Create an activity
2. Set an activity
You create and set activities from the checkout dialog box.
3. Check out and modify versions
To modify source files, go to your development view and check them out.
ClearCase opens the Check Out dialog box with the currently set activity
selected in the Activity list. You can accept the selection, choose another
activity, or create a new activity.
4. Check in work
When you want to keep a record of a file's current state, check it in. Any work
you check in from your development view is not available to other team members
until you deliver it. ![]()
