A bright cinnamon-colored duck with an iridescent green wing-patch and a light blue forewing. Length: 35-48 cm.; weight: 400 g. Audio (M. Oberle). Breeds from southwestern Canada to southern South America. Accidental in wetlands on Puerto Rico.
