A large, dark swift with a distinct white-collar. Length: 21-22 cm.; weight: 104 g. Rapidly flies back and forth chasing insects high in the air. Breeds on Cuba, Jamaica, Hispaniola, and in mainland Latin America. Accidental (Vieques, 21 July 1971).
