A bright rufous-backed thrush, with bold, black spots on the white undersides. Length: 20 cm.; weight: 45 g. Audio 2 (M. Oberle). Breeds in eastern North America; winters in Central America. Accidental in coastal areas in Puerto Rico (for example, Culebra, 26 October 1998).
