Yellow-naped Parrot

DISTRIBUTION: Central America.

TAXONOMY/TAXONOMÍA: PSITTACIFORMES; PSITTACIDAE; Arinae.

Formerly lumped with two closely related species as the Yellow-crowned Parrot (Amazona ochrocephala), but taxonomists recently split the Yellow-crowned Parrot into three separate species. The three species are now theYellow-crowned Parrot (Amazona ochrocephala), the Yellow-headed Parrot (Amazona oratrix), and the Yellow-naped Parrot (Amazona auropalliata ).

Otrora agrupada con dos especies pr≤ximamente emparentadas y llamada Amazona ochrocephala (Yellow-crowned Parrot, en inglΘs) pero los tax≤nomos recientemente disolvieron esta forma, reconociendo tres nuevas especies: la Amazona Coroniamarilla (Amazona ochrocephala), la Amazona Cabeciamarilla (Amazona oratrix), y la Amazona Nuquiamarilla (Amazona auropalliata).
