Unzip to a temporary folder, run SETUP.EXE and follow the instructions. After SoftICE is installed you have to reboot your computer. Now the only thing you have to do is change the WINICE.DAT file (located in the directory you installed it). To ease your job, you can download my WINICE.DAT here. If you don't edit that file, or use mine, SoftICE won't work as it should, so this is very important!! Don't bother why you have to do that, I'll explain later. For now, just use mine...okay? :) If you look at your AUTOEXEC.BAT after the install, you will see that SoftICE added a line. It points to the file WINICE.EXE which takes care of loading SoftICE and Windows. If you want to disable SoftICE: just put a 'rem' in front of the line. (but you should have known that)

Make a directory (anywhere you want), copy the .ZIP into it and UNZIP in that directory. HIEW is installed and there's no further setup required!
