Matt Pietrek's Home Page

Comment

Matt Pietrek is god of windows internals. Matt is the author of one of my favorite books: "Windows 95 system programming secrets" and edits "Under the hood" in MSJ. The page doesn't contain much information of a programming nature - never the less worth a visit. He has some cool links :)

Walter Oney's Homepage

Comment

Walter Oney is the demi-god of VxD's and author of the authorotive VxD book: "Windows 95 Systems Programming". His page is most definately worth a visit.

Liu TaoTao's homepage

Comment

Liu TaoTao is a master of Programming. His author of the TR dos simulation debugger and the windows TRW systems debugger - both which are freeware. His homepage documents a lot of the undocumented Windows stuff.

Microsoft Developers Network

Comment

Microsofts online resource for windows developers. This site contains SDK's and DDK's in an online archive - which definately makes it a valuable resource.

Tittle

Microsoft Systems Journal

Comment

Microsoft Systems Journal is the primary magazine for windows use and abuse from a programmers point of view anyways.

Windows Internals

Comment

How strange! A site about windows internals. A good resource on Windows Internals - especially tools & texts. Definately worth a visit!!!!

Andrew Schulman's homepage

Comment

Andrew Schulman is the Windows-worlds enfant terrible. Havok & mayhem seems to follow suit with Schulman which makes his homepage a distinct pleassure to devour.

Tittle

James Finnegan's homepage

Comment

Finnegan appears to be the tech editor on 2 out of three internals book on windows :).. "A really sick, twisted mind" - Matt Pietrek. Finnegan is also editor on MSJ. His page is quite good.

System Internals

Comment

This is IMHO the very best site on Windows internals on the whole Web. Mostly ring 0 code for both Win9x & NT. But generally the site is a well of good sourcecodes. Mostly C though :( Untill lately known as NTinternals.com

Hornet Archives

Comment

The Hornet archive is the "Demo" scene's official unofficial joint venture to promote demo's. The sourcecode archieves are very impressing and the demo's and other artworks are soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cool.

Processor specific links

Tittle

Sandpile

Comment

Sandpile is a major resource in only documentation on the intel processor. Unlike the intel link this is readable online and it does contain a little something on much hyped Appendix H.

Tittle

Comment

Take an intel processor. Add some Robert Collins. Let it simmer. And you have intelligent controversy. Robert Collins love taking processors apparts. His page is pretty hardcore and pretty entertaining and last but not least very informative on undocumented and documented INTEL information.

Tittle

Comment

Intel - home of PC. Valuable and free information in excess is avaible on this site.

Miscellaneous Programming links

Worsit's FileFormat Archive

Comment

One of the sites that I totally admire. If you need documentation - official as unofficial - this is the best bet on the web..

C racking links

Tittle

Fravia's homepage

Comment

Home of the HCU. Fravia's legendary site about cracking which IMHO is overrated because it has generally taken a "how to crack this specific product" approach which teaches you techniques which in practice turn out to be very hard to apply. Still - worth a visit for anybody into desiging copyprotection. A must actually. The wise man always studies his opponant.
