Commerical Protections
Release Software has updated SalesAgent to 2.7.x.x. From this version on, you can't modify your personal code, which is stored in \WINDOWS\RSAGNT32.INI ... since it will be detected and re-calculated. However getting the right Unlock Code is just as easy as it always was. As you may have found out, there are similarities between programs protected by SalesAgent's TimeLimit Protection. These similarities could be used to code a GENERiC SalesAgent TiME LiMiT PATCHER ... this is what I've done. I will soon write an essay how I found out those things. You may read it very soon at THE LEARN TO CRACK Site.

PreviewSoftware's has released VBox 4.20 some time ago. Now it has been solved.
 
 
Websites
Fravia's pages of reverse engineering was back and running again. Unfortunately after 6 days it has been attacked by Hackers again ... and now it is offline again.

The ReFleXZ group's website is back and running again. It has been down for about one month and is now located on another server.

The LEARN TO CRACK site has been completly remanaged and now also features some nice new services such as a direct link to the Public Tutorial Search Engine and a nice navigation 'bar'. There has also a nice new service site, The ProcDump32 Site, opend. And since Lucifer48 has solved ID CrackMe 5.0, the solution has been uploaded.

Iczelion's site, which was down around 2 weeks, is also back and running again. The complete layout and the server has changed ... the site is although offline very often!

The Immortal Descendants site was dropped down by the Webspace Administrator due continiously misuse. Volatility tells us that he is looking for webspace on another server, which hosts cracking sites.
     
04 Group info
Here you will find a short WHAT IS about a Cracking Group in every Issue. This time it is Hellforge:


Hellforge is a completely new cracking group founded by two completely unknown crackers, LaZaRuS and Jordan. Hellforge was founded for three reasons:

First, to create a group where newbie crackers can exchange knowledge and work on projects to gain more knowledge about cracking.

Second, to work in groups with other crackers. We didn't want keep on cracking at home where noone sees our results except our friends.

Third, to create a group where newbies and advanced newbies can belong to, because they are not ready for a great group, yet.

Code Reversing For Beginners This site is the ideal site for Reversing Beginners. Lots of great essays, which contain lots of good knowledge are hosted here. This nice site also has it's own Messageboard (moderated by The Sandman and Jeff), which is also AWESOME ... I think we could call that site something like "Fravia's Reverse Engineering Site For Newbies"! There are also Cracking Projects (also for Newbies) from time to time ... and you can ask for essays being published. Site administrated by The Sandman.
CrackMe« Practises For Newbies This nice site, which was created on first January 1999, features CrackMes and tutorials for them. There is nearly all the time a Cracking Project in progress (mainly for ADVANCED NEWBIES). Anything regarding CrackMes will be published here. Each CrackMe that has been solved has been rated. Also has a nice LINKS site ... a very good site to start learning how to crack more advanced programs. Site administrated by Eternal Bliss.
German Cracking Center This site is the GERMAN response to Code Reversing For Beginners. It covers excellent tutorials and a nice Messageboard (moderated by BLACKHAWK, TORN@DO, VLADIMIR). There are also Cracking Projects, called "Workouts" ... and there is a special FTP Server (GCC Server) for exchanging shareware programs you need help on. Site administrated by Vladimir.

07 Future contents
As this E-ZiNE is completely new, there will be changes of course in the next issues. So I'm awaiting your thoughts what I should add to it and what I shouldn't add to it. I'm also awaiting YOUR articles about Reverse Engineering!

Unlike other E-ZiNES I won't add a complete list of links to every issue ... instead I will add different links on each issues ... and maybe at the end of the year, I will release a final YEAR issue, where all the actual links are stored at.
