NETscout Model 9250 is a software package which, when loaded in a Sun SPARCstation running under OS 4.1.x with Open Windows, implements the NETscout RMON Manager (client) function. The NETscout family of distributed RMON LAN/WAN Analyzer devices are intended to provide network users with a comprehensive capability to identify and isolate fault conditions in data communications networks. NETscout collects wide ranging statistical data based on the RMON standard, displays selectively captured and fully decoded network traffic, sets user defined alarm conditions, and obtains real-time updates from all segments of a widely dispersed enterprise network. The NETscout Manager operates with or without Solstice SunNet Manager.
