FontMaker makes PostScript Type 1 fonts available for use with FrameMaker.

Now you can use your favorite fonts in FrameMaker by converting them to bitmap fonts as required by FrameMaker. FontMaker does the following:

• Reads Adobe PostScript Type 1 fonts from CD-ROM, floppy, or disk.
• Converts each font you select to the Frame bitmap format.
• Each font is converted at each of the standard Frame sizes.
• You can also specify additional size that you want created.
• The fontlist file is automatically updated so that the FrameMaker Fonts Menu reflects the newly converted fonts.

You can download FontMaker and try it out for free! FontMaker runs in Demo mode without a license. This way, you can see for yourself that FontMaker really does what it claims. Without a license FontMaker will convert some (but not all) of the characters in any Type 1 font. FontMaker will convert a,b,c,d,e in Demo mode. All the other characters defined in the font will appear as blank spaces in FontMaker.

In addition, in Demo mode FontMaker will fully convert four faces from the Utopia font family:

• Utopia-Regular
• Utopia-Bold
• Utopia-Italic
• Utopia-BoldItalic

These four fonts are free with FontMaker (courtesy of Adobe Systems). You won't need a license to see how easily FontMaker works.
