ACCELL/SQL Release 2 Bridge Course
Course delivery:
Professionally constructed by the Unify training development group,
the courses combine lecture, theory, hands-on, problem-solving
and interactive discussion in a format designed to ensure maximum
benefit to all participants.
All classes are delivered by knowledgeable instructors who have
in-depth practical product experience, and class size is limited
to a maximum of six attendees.
As well as standard training courses, we are also able to provide
bespoke training to meet customers' specific requirements.
Location:
Courses are held regularly at our well equipped training centre
in Egham, Surrey (9 miles from Heathrow airport; 1 mile from Junction
13 of the M25 or 25 minutes by train from London Waterloo station)
Alternatively, any course can be run at customers' own premises.
Course materials:
All attendees are provided with comprehensive materials covering
the content of the course. Certificates are issued upon successful
completion of the course.
Course times:
All courses at our Egham training centre start at 9.00am and finish
at 5pm, with the exception of the first day of each course, which
starts at 9.30am. Full joining instructions are issued at confirmation
of booking.
Refreshments/lunch:
Course refreshments and lunch are provided at no additional charge
for the duration of the course.
Accommodation:
We will be happy to provide you with information on local hotels
if you require overnight accommodation.

Audience: Programmers, systems analysts, development managers,
project managers and software evaluation team members of end-user,
VAR and systems integrator organisations who wish to develop graphical,
open, client/server applications using VISION will find this course
relevant to their needs.
Overview: This is an instructor-led class combining lecture
and hands-on exercises designed to teach the student how to develop
and deploy graphical VISION applications. It includes training
on graphical objects, scripts, rapid prototyping, database connectivity
and form relationships.
Prerequisites: In order to complete this course successfully,
students should have knowledge of UNIX, vi, one programming language
and a standard DBMS. No prior knowledge of VISION is required.
Duration: 5 days
Audience: Programmers, systems analysts, development managers,
project managers and software evaluation team members of end-user,
VAR and systems integrator organisations will find this course
relevant to the job of developing graphical, open, client/server
applications. It is also an excellent opportunity to conduct an
in-depth review of the power and leading-edge functionality of
Unify VISION.
Overview: This course offers product training on advanced
Unify VISION topics, including distributed application processing,
dynamic SQL, array processing, object repositories and Dynamic
Data Exchange. Lecture and labs combine development guidelines
and application tips. This course is over 50% hands-on.
Prerequisites: Prior to attendance of this course, students
must have completed the Unify VISION Basic Course and demonstrate
proficiency with the Unify VISION product, particularly the Unify
VISION 4GL. Many of the exercises involve writing form scripts
and global functions, and require a working knowledge of Unify
VISION.
Duration: 5 days
Audience: Programmers, systems analysts, development managers
and database administrators of end-user, VAR and system integrator
organisations.
Overview: This is an instructor-led course that provides
a thorough foundation in the administration and operation of the
Unify 2000 Relational Database Management System. It combines
lecture, on-line exercises and real-world database scenarios.
Prerequisites: This is a course for technically-oriented
individuals. In order to complete the course successfully, attendees
should have good working knowledge of relational database system
design and administration.
Duration: 5 days
Audience: Systems administrators, database administrators
and ACCELL/SQL developers who work with the Unify 2000 RDBMS.
Overview: This is an instructor-led course that details
the internal processing and recovery of the Unify 2000 RDBMS.
Prerequisites: In order to successfully complete this course,
students must have previously attended the Unify 2000 Fundamentals
Course.
Duration: 3 days
Audience: Programmers, systems analysts, development managers,
project managers and software evaluation team members of end-user,
VAR and systems integrator organisations who wish to develop applications
using ACCELL/SQL.
Overview: This is an instructor-led course that teaches
how to develop an application with ACCELL/SQL. Over 28 hands-on
exercises help the student master the features of the screen generator
and the 4GL language.
Prerequisites: In order to complete this course successfully,
students should have knowledge of UNIX, vi, and one programming
language. No prior knowledge of ACCELL/SQL is required.
Duration: 5 days
Audience: Programmers, systems analysts, development managers,
project managers and software evaluation team members of end-user,
VAR and systems integrator organisations who wish to develop applications
using ACCELL/SQL Release 2.
Overview: This is an instructor-led course that teaches
the robust features of the graphical release of ACCELL/SQL, including
list and matrix arrays and the use of stored procedures.
Prerequisites: In order to complete this course successfully,
students should have knowledge of UNIX and vi, and they should
have attended the ACCELL/SQL Fundamentals course.
