Damaged media.
This new feature marks an archive copy as damaged if a fatal media error
is detected when staging that archive copy. Any archive copy that is damaged
is not selected for staging. The damaged copy must be rearchived.
A new damage command is provided to manually mark archive entries for
one or more files or directories as damaged. Selection is controlled by the
archive copy and/or the media type and VSN. The undamage command marks
archive entries for one or more files or directories undamaged. Selection is
controlled by the archive copy and/or the media type and VSN.
See the damage(1M) or undamage(1M) man pages for details.
