System Panel v1.00 documentation Welcome to System Panel v1.00 -- a system tray utility. System Panel provides menu access to the control panels on your system. System Panel's setup program will place a shortcut in your startup folder, causing System Panel to be launched whenever you start Windows. Clicking on the System Panel icon in the Windows system tray will bring up the menu. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Known Issues with System Panel: Version 1.00 ------------ - SysPanel does not search every possible location on the system for control panels. There are three possible locations, but only rarely do control panels occur outside the system folder. Thus, the system folder is the only location currently searched for control panels. This will be addressed in a future version, if necessary. - Under Windows 95, some of the control panels are 16-bit, a problem because System Panel is a 32-bit application. An error occurs when System Panel attempts to load these control panels. System Panel successfully recovers from this error without interruption to the user. The result is that these control panels will simply not be displayed in the menu. Floating Point Software is researching a possible fix for this problem. There are no known cases of this problem occurring with Windows NT, probably because most or all Windows NT control panels are 32-bit. - System Panel crashes if any control panel dialogs that were invoked through System Panel are still active when System Panel closes. - There are a variety of issues with System Panel's installer. All are under investigation or in the process of being fixed.
