This is the fourth game from Crowd that I've had something to do with.
Oh, if you haven't finished the game yet, please don't read any further. I wouldn't want to spoil any surprises for anyone. (^ ^)
Well, for tihs game I worked on the basic game system design, various screen CG, part of the programming, the manual, and the CD label, and also advertising materials as well. If there are any problems or mistakes, I have to take responsibility for them... ^^;;
What I remember most about working on this game was the endings. During programming and testing of the game, I had to learn to the ending theme of the game so much that I was really unable to listen to it anymore.
I know that I caused a lot of trouble for the main programmers for this game, by adding features like the MIDI/CD music switching feature, keyboard functionality, and more. I think the game is better as a result of my efforts, though. I have to think of new game features to add to our future products, however.
For this game, we experimented with having the "standing character" CG contained in a memory buffer, so that the various characters' expressions could change on-screen without any delay because of accessing the game data. I hope this new feature was appreciated.
