NAME

rusers - compact list of users on all "visible" systems

SYNOPSIS

/usr/local/rusers [-d domain] [-h host]

DESCRIPTION

Rusers lists the login names of the users currently on all visible systems in a compact, one-line-per-host format. Systems with no users are not listed. Using the -d option makes rusers list only the login names of the users on visible systems in the specified domain. Using the -h option makes rusers list only the login names of the users currently on the specified host. When the -h option is used and a "*" appears after the hostname, the rest of the output line may be incorrect because the rwho data was over 5 minutes old. A "visible system" is any system from which rwho packets are being received.

HISTORY

Originally created by altering users(1) with pieces from rwho(1). Rewritten to try to eliminate borrowed source.
