NAME

spaceout - animated space display

SYNOPSIS

spaceout [ -fRrCc ] [ host:display ]

DESCRIPTION

Spaceout is an X11 version of the program for Xerox XDE workstations. The Xerox workstation version was done by Jef Poskanzer at Versatec, A Xerox company. Spaceout displays a star field, which moves as if you were traveling through space ( similar to the beginning of old Star Trek tv shows ).

Spaceout options include:

-f
tries to fill the entire screen.
-r
'reverse video'.
-R
runs in root window.
-C
Color Spaceout.
-c
The stars move down the middle of the screen.

If a host is not specify the environment variable DISPLAY is used.

At this time I would like to express many thanks to Paul Shupak for his comments and suggestions. He also wrote the random number generator that is used in Spaceout.
