NAME
dumpfont - ASCII display of HP LaserJet font
SYNOPSIS
dumpfont
[
-s
] [
-c first-last
]
fontfile
DESCRIPTION
Dumpfont
provides a detailed analysis of an HP LaserJet soft font in numerical
and graphic form. It first
displays information from the font descriptor, which pertains to the
font as a whole; then it produces a plot of each character defined in
the font file as a sequence of ASCII characters.
Options:
- -s
-
produce summary output only, showing only a list of the characters
defined in the file.
- -c first-last
-
restrict the range of characters displayed to the range
first-last,
inclusive.
First
and
last
are given as literal ASCII characters. Either one may be omitted; they
default to the characters with values 0 and 255, respectively. If they
both are omitted, no characters will be displayed.
BUGS
Dumpfont
sometimes displays character plots offset by some amount; why is not
known.
