NAME
roffit - Look for files which might contain man page documentation and
format them into the
manl
directory in the archive hierarchy.
SYNOPSIS
roffit [
man-files
]
DESCRIPTION
Roffit
is a C-shell script which checks the files in the current directory tree
for files with extensions
l, man, nro and [1-8]
and applies
nroff -man
to each, directing the output to the
manl
directory in the archive hierarchy. If name conflicts arise, the user
is prompted.
OPTIONS
- man-file
-
Process these files instead of searching.
ENVIRONMENT VARIABLES
- ARCHIVE
-
The location of the archive hierarchy.
BUGS
Not a Bourne shell script (sorry).
DIAGNOSTICS
- Man page <file> exists. (i)gnore, (o)verwrite or new name(n) [i]?
-
All of the formatted man pages are placed in the same directory.
Often, a posting will include some useful items that are not
universally available. Getopt(3) often shows up.
