The program is open to anyone interested in furthering the functionality, performance, and peripheral tools for the NewTek family of products. These products include LightWave 3D, Inspire 3D, Aura, and the infamous Video Toaster/Flyer.

LightWave 3D and Inspire 3D share the same API information, so most plugins work in either application.

Aura has its own native API to create plugins with, or Aura can use all of the typical PhotoShop plugins. If you are a current PhotoShop developer, you have another avenue of possibilities. Not only Aura uses the current PhotoShop plugins, so does Inspire 3D and LightWave 3D. More applications mean more markets to explore.
