CREABAR v. 2.0 Copyright 1997 CompuArt C.P. 5541 16158 GENOVA Voltri - ITALY Tel. +39/10/6513199 Fax +39/10/6530179-10/6513199 e-mail : info@compuart.it CreaBar can be used only under Windows 95 and it can create the most common bar codes. It has been tested also under the Beta version of Windows 98. The program creates the code images in a graphic metafile form that can be inserted in all the Windows 95 applications (word processor, desk top publisher and vectorial graphic programs). You can create all the bar codes that you like: large dimensions codes for packages or very small ones for micro labels. CreaBar allows you to print very small bars in a clear way, the ones near to the others to obtain high density codes for laser printers and the best results for dot matrix printers. Creabar is very easy to use. It has a complete help and, during the modification of the parameters, it shows you clear texts and images. This program has been created to insert bar codes in every type of document but, if you want to create labels taking data from a database, you must use a specific program. CompuArt has created, following the clients requests, the program that you need: Label Laboratory. It has a complete management of dBASE III files and a graphic editor that allows you to draw every type of label. You can ask us all the information about it at the usual address. To answer to the developers requests, we have added two DLL to CreaBar: they can be connected to other programs. CompuArt promotes the use of its programs with applications developed by other software houses. Remember that the professional versions are not entirely or partially freely distributed. You can use the DLL in your applications but users must have the CreaBar professional version. They can requiring the program directly to CompuArt, or you can give them, with our authorization, the CreaBar professional version. CompuArt makes discounts to the developers that use its programs. Contact us! At the moment of the registration the program creates, in the Windows directory, a file called CBAR20.RG that contains the registration data: to protect your program, you must copy this file in a floppy disk. You notice that, among the CreaBar installation files, there is already the file CBAR20.RG, but it's false because it doesn't contain the registration data and it will be removed by the program at the first start. If you copy, after the registration, the CBAR20.RG created by the program on the floppy disk containing the shareware version, at the moment of an eventual reinstallation, the professional version will be installed automatically. Use of GBCODE.DLL and GBCODE32.DLL libraries CreaBar has two dynamic link libraries (DLL) that allow you to create a bar code from the other applications inside. - GBCODE.DLL for 16 bit applications (Windows 3.1 and Windows 95) - GBCODE32.DLL for 32 bit applications (only for Windows 95) The Setup program purposes the CreaBar installation in the directory C:\CBAR20, while the libraries and the file CBAR20.RG are installed in the directory Windows in order to be available to all the applications. During an eventual disinstallation, the program will ask you a confirm to remove the file .RG, the libraries and the directory containing the program (CBAR20); the CreaBar disinstallation will be completed if you confirm this request: in this way no tracks of the program will remain in the hard disk. Registration This is a Shareware program, i.e. it's freely distributed, but it cannot be freely used. It is completely working but it allows you only to codify the EAN8 and EAN13 symbologies, while a fixed not modifiable string is created for all the other codes. The registration requests can be sent by e-mail, fax or mail. In order to use CreaBar you must register your copy to CompuArt: we will send you an activation code that will change the Shareware version in the Registered version. The current registration fee is Italian Lire 46.500 (about 27 $ - US Dollars). Please be sure to include your credit card number, cardholder and expiration date on all credit card orders.
