Instructions to the Shareware version of LOGGER. 1. Purpose This program will tell you the time and date when the computer was turned on. 2. How does it work ? It fullfills its purpose by adding a line to AUTOEXEC.BAT which runs the program SGLOGON.EXE. This program saves the current date and time. There is NO need to run it from the command line. To check the dates and times saved by SGLOGON just run SWLOGGER.EXE. 3. How do I install it ? Run the INSTALL.EXE program. Make sure that SGLOGON.EXE SWLOGGER.EXE & README.TXT are all in the same subdirectory as the INSTALL.EXE program. This program will copy files to C:\LOGGER subdirectory. It will also make changes to your AUTOEXEC.BAT file. Your previous file will be saved under AUTOEXEC.SG Then make sure to RE-BOOT the system, which means turn the power on and off. You can also press the RESET button, or press CTRL+ALT+DEL (3 keys together) on the keyboard. 4. How do I run this program ? Just type LOGGER when you are in the C:\LOGGER subdirectory. To change subdirectories type this in at the DOS prompt: cd \logger and press ENTER. The program uses a DOS GUI interface.
