Friends for Windows
User Guide

Friends is a Windows based program allowing internet users to determine whether their friends and colleagues are currently connected to the internet. In addition, users can create chat rooms accessible to their friends and other internet users. Your friends can also see if you're online and can invite you to join a chat room that they have created. You do not need a web site to create your private or public chat room! Other great features include visual indicators, user paging,  one-on-one private chatting and more.

How Does it Work?

While running, Friends will continuously check for the presence or absence of other individuals running Friends for Windows. You will need to specify the name and e-mail of these individuals.

It is actually quite simple if you remember these simple rules:

  1. You should load Friends for Windows when you connect to the internet. The program will run in the background so you can perform other tasks while waiting for your friends to join the Internet.
  2. Your Friends and colleagues (at least the ones you care about) must also run a copy of Friends when they connect to the Internet. A user will not appear connected if he/she have not loaded the program. Just tell your friends about this program and have them install it on their computer.
  3. You must know your Friends e-mail address in order to monitor their presence or absence from the Internet

You must see it to believe it so what are you waiting for to get started?
