ISDN Caller Id v 2.2.0.5 ---------------------- Updated: June 23., 1998 +++ Online registration You may register by Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. Your registration code will be available almost instantly 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please follow this link to register online: https://www.regnow.com/softsell/nph-softsell.cgi?item=1361-1 But even if you use automated registration, the developer still likes to talk to you by email about suggested facilities and to solve your problems. Well - at least ISDNCid problems. +++ New features in V 2.2 New callers may be treated as one (Number=* Name=New Caller) Icon blinks on new messages until window is popped up. Better AGC (Automatic Gain Control) on voice messages. Selectable AGC on incoming and outgoing messages. Selectable service types for program launching. Right click in caller list for popup menu. Personal answer messages. Run as "Service" under Win95/98 Schedule external programs with run parameters. Right Click on Icon for popup menu Some more requested features will come in the 2.2 official release. Please notify me if you encounter any problems. If not, just relax in your best chair and let ISDNCid do the job. +++ Answer files. To setup your outgoing messages open the MSN configuration dialog box. Initially none of the lines are selected. Pushing the "Play" or "Record" buttons will operate on the default message. Selecting any line will make the Play/Record buttons operate on that particular line. If nothing seems to be working, start the "Sound Recorder" to verify that your microphone is selected as input device and that volume settings are correct. If you intend to mix your messages with other voice or music sources, please read the following info: The answering machine uses WAV-files to answer incoming calls. These WAV-files are located in subdirectory \Program Files\ISDNCID\Answer. Answer-files are named Welcome.wav for the default answer, Welcome1.wav for line 1, Welcome2.wav for line 2 and so on. All answer files should be of type: PCM 8000 Hz 8-bit Mono (or ALaw 8000 Hz 8-bit Mono) The set options dialog box selects the telephony voice coding system for your country (ALaw for Europe and uLaw for USA). +++ Incoming messages. To listen to incoming messages or view incoming faxes, just double click the date/time field. Faxes are stored as TIFF-files and may be viewed by any TIFF viewer program like Wang Imaging which may be downloaded from Microsoft. Before you can view the faxes you have to create an association from files with extension TIF to your preferred viewer. This association is created in Windows Explorer or File Manager. +++ MSN Configuration settings. If the checkboxes for Fax reception in the configuration settings dialog box are disabled (gray), this means that your ISDN-adapter don't support T.30 (G3) FAX in hardware or through CAPI. Some ISDN-adapters reports that they support T.30 FAX although they don't support softfax format. Only softfax format is supported by this version. +++ Future 2.x versions will include: - Different personal messages on different lines. - Group of numbers in caller associations list. - General address book import from CSV-files. - Address book maintenance. - Handling of Wav-files up to 44kHz Stereo. - Call Hold and Transfer. - Remote control by DTMF. - Sendfax engine for adapters supporting SFF. - German, Italian, Portuguese Dutch and Norwegian versions. +++ Any suggestions?
