How the product handles dates:
Expedia Streets & Trips 2000 does not accept user provided dates in its functionality. However, date dependent road construction data can be downloaded from the Internet. Each file is assigned an expiration date that is stored in the header and is used to determine whether or not the construction information on the users machine needs to be updated. If the expiration date has passed, then a message in the itinerary informs the user that more recent data is available.
Expedia Streets & Trips 2000 has a display issue in its road construction data file that appears when the system short date style is set to use four digits for the year. In this scenario the first two digits of the year displayed on the road construction line in the itinerary is incorrect. For example, 8/31/99 becomes 8/31/3899.
Updated road construction data files that resolve this issue can be downloaded from within the product. On the Tools menu, click Update Construction Information.

Expedia Streets & Trips 2000 was released with Internet Explorer 4.01 Service Pack 1 to render the content of the application. Internet Explorer has identified a year 2000 issue with a component of Internet Explorer. Expedia Streets & Trips 2000 does not use this component within the application and is not affected by this matter. However, if a customer is interested in applying these updates, Microsoft recommends reviewing the Internet Explorer 4.01 compliance document for appropriate year 2000 actions.
