Selects the Double-Sided material type and adds it to the current material in the Material Editor sample window.
The Double-Sided material lets you assign two different materials to the front and back faces of an object.
For the Double-Sided material, you can set or modify the following basic parameters:
Facing Material and Back Material: Click to select or create the materials for the two sides.
Use the check boxes to disable or enable the material.
Translucency: Sets the amount that one material shows through the other (percentage).
The Double Sided material controls let you choose the two materials, and also the translucency of the material overall.

The Translucency control affects the blending of the two materials. When Translucency is zero, there is no blend. When Translucency is 9.99 per cent, the outer material is transparent and the inner material is visible on outer faces. At intermediate values, the specified percentage of the inner material "bleeds through" and is visible on outer faces.
