We give special thanks to our brother, Eric Soares, commander of the Tsunami Rangers and sea kayaker extraordinaire, for hiking companionship, sage advice, and outdoors enthusiasm; and to our mother, Mozelle Fitzhugh Berta, who gave us her total support and love throughout this project and was wise enough to know that children need freedom to explore and discover.
