MD C:\PASTUDIO (Make a directory) 2. MD C:\PASTUDIO\TBPRO 3. MD C:\PASTUDIO\TBPRO\MODULES 4. MD C:\PASTUDIO\SESSION 5. MD C:\PASTUDIO\QUICK 6. Insert Disk 1 and copy *.* C:\PASTUDIO 7. Copy C:\PASTUDIO\MOD.LZH C:\PASTUDIO\TBPRO\MODULES 8. Copy C:\PASTUDIO\TBPRO.LZH C:\PASTUDIO\TBPRO 9. Copy LHARC.EXE from the PASTUDIO directory to the DOS directory. 10. From the PASTUDIO directory, type LHARC X PROGRAMS.LZH 11. From the PASTUDIO directory, type DEL *.LZH 12. From the C:\PASTUDIO\TBPRO sub-directory, type LHARC X TBPRO.LZH 13. From the C:\PASTUDIO\TBPRO\MODULES sub-directory, type LHARC X MOD.LZH 14. Insert Disk 2 and copy *.* C:\PASTUDIO\SESSION 15. From the C:\PASTUDIO\SESSION sub-directory, type LHARC X MSOFT.LZH 16. Insert Disk 3 and copy *.* C:\PASTUDIO 17. Insert Disk 4 and type: COPY /B C:\PASTUDIO\FB_22K16.DLL + A:\FB_22K16.DLL C:\PASTUDIO\FB_22K16.DLL 18. Insert Disk 5 and copy *.* C:\PASTUDIO\QUICK 19. From the C:\PASTUDIO\QUICK sub-directory, type LHARC X STUDIO.LZH 20. Add ";C:\PASTUDIO" to the end of your PATH line in AUTOEXEC.BAT 21. Add the following to your CONFIG.SYS: DEVICE=C:\PASTUDIO\MVSOUND.SYS D:3 Q:7 S:1,220,1,5 M:0 J:1 T:1 W:0 ('J:0' can be used to disable joystick) ('M:0' turns MPU401 emulation off) (D:x=DMA channel, Q:x=IRQ) 22. If you have a CD-ROM attached to the Pas Studio, add the following line to your CONFIG.SYS DEVICE=C:\PASTUDIO\TSLCDR.SYS /D:MVCD001 23. If you have a CD-ROM attached to the Pas Studio, add the following line to your AUTOEXEC.BAT file: C:\PASTUDIO\MSCDEX.EXE /D:MVCD001 /M:10 /V /L:x (X=CD-ROM drive letter) Note Gateway/Micronics users: Set the "Sound Blaster" IRQ (the "5" after "S:1", above) to 2. If you have a VL(Local) bus, use D:5 Q:10 for the Pas Studio configuration. Packard Bell The ONLY low-order IRQ available on your system is IRQ 5. This is used for "Sound Blaster". You must select a high-order IRQ (Q:10, 11, 12, or 15) for the ProAudio side of the card. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Windows Environment * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * 1. Edit WINDOWS\SYSTEM.INI. In the [386Enh] group, place a semicolon (;) in front of the following lines, if they exist: device=vsbd.386 device=vadlib.386 device=vsbpro.386 2. ADD the following to the [386Enh] group: device=vpasd.386 DMABufferSize=064 3. In the [MCI] group, ADD mixer=mcimixer.drv CDAudio=mcicda.drv 4. In the [DRIVERS] group, ADD wave=mvproaud.drv aux=mvproaud.drv midi=sapi!opl.drv midi1=mvproaud.drv mixer=mvmixer.drv 5. ADD the following new groups: [Multimedia.Setup] audio=mvproaud.drv,0,0,0 [mvproaud.drv] dma=x irq=x (the Windows DMA and IRQ should match the "Q:X" in the MVSOUND line in CONFIG.SYS) 6. Start Windows Create the following Groups. This is done by clicking on: File - New - Group - Description = MultiMedia Tools File - New - Group - Description = Monolog 16 File - New - Group - Description = Quick Tour File - New - Group - Description = MidiSoft 7. Open the MultiMedia Tools Group and create the following items. This done by clicking on: File - New - Program Item. You will be creating the following: Description Command Line Working Directory Pocket Recorder C:\PASTUDIO\PREC.EXE C:\WINDOWS Pocket Mixer C:\PASTUDIO\PMIX.EXE C:\WINDOWS Pocket CD C:\PASTUDIO\PKCD.EXE C:\WINDOWS Pro Mixer C:\PASTUDIO\PROMIX.EXE C:\WINDOWS 8. Open the Monolog 16 group and create the following items under File - New - Program Item. Description Command Line Working Directory Monolog 16 C:\PASTUDIO\MONO_16.EXE C:\WINDOWS Dictionary Mgr. C:\PASTUDIO\DICTMGR.EXE C:\WINDOWS 9. Open the Quick Tour Group and create the following item: Description Command Line Working Directory Quick Tour C:\PASTUDIO\QUICK\STUDIO C:\WINDOWS 10.
