Faculty of Electronic Engineering

The Faculty of Electronic Engineering in Nis is a University unit, which basic activity is to train graduate engineers of electrotechnical engineering.
Undergraduated studies in the electronics engineering started 1960. as the part of the department of Electronics at the Faculty of Technical Engineering. The Faculty of Electronic Engineering was founded in 1969.
At the Faculty trere are five educational profiles: automation and electronics, electronics and telecommunications, computer science and information theory, microelectronics and industrial energetics. Besides, the Faculty organizes the postgraduated studies for eleven basic fields, as well as the possibility for obtaining the Ph.D. degree in electronic engineering.
There are a lot of scientific-researching projects supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the Republic of Serbia. Although, the emphases at the Faculty is the researching development supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology and in co-operation with industry.
The Faculty of Electronics in Nis comprises the following departments: automation, electronics, energy engineering, mathematics, measuring, microelectronics, data processing, telecommunications, theoretical electrical engineering and general education subjects.
Besides the Computer center, there are different laboratories, for example: for electric circuit designing, for the quality and reliability of microelectronics components, microcomputer systems, for microwave and satellite TV, for electromaterials, for TV, for radio engineering, for measuring technique, for electroacoustics, metrology laboratory etc.
