The reason I asked was I know of other programmers who have concerns about the
SDK having NO real development tools, except a reworked GNU C compiler, but I
don't see them complaining or even talking to Amiga. Anyone for assembler?

To keep this ARexx related, I just heard that there will be no further AOS 3.5
development, so I guess that's it for anythiing new related to ARexx, if true.
REBOL for SDK is released now, though.
